“Lisa: Hmm, well I beg to differ - the eternal Kimmy hair issue again :D
Well no, I never felt - and prolly never will feel - that this straight hair image suited her much. I did think it was a good move to perm her hair a bit like she did a while back, but apparently she didn't feel the same. *heavy sigh*”
“Unlike evry1 else I got 2 know of this fantastic wall-bustn song AFTER I got Kim's wicked Never Say Never comeback album. Video is gr8. Nena can actually sing and sounds dynamic. But then Kim th gr8 will bring the best out of any1, but credit 2 Nena aswell, as she cud hav helpd the best female singer back 2 us. Thoughas a UK based fan, I am disgusted with my country's complete abandonment of hr aftr her worst album Now&Forever (which is still way betr than many singers' adequate work. Following Loved (& that was cool) this in another league, but STILL this soddin country won't do anything. I say we all hold Simon awful Cowell, Madonna & Girls Aloud 2 ransom until Kim's on the UK airwaves/in charts/in shops again. Gr8 2 hear some American fans feel just as annoyd at her lack of stature over there at mment, but America'a always been 2 in love with its own naff rockers & bimbos. Bon Jovi & Mariah Carey & Celine Dion r not the world u know, nor is Justn Timbertwat. This video's a 10, and the song's a 20 outa 10. I'M LOVIN'IT but I can't find the soddin' single yet so I'm watchn it here non-stop. My only neessary gripe-why is Kim the only star I know whose average timed song is barely 4mins. Madonna, Lennox, Carey etc. wud al die (if only) if they ever had 2 record songs that took up less time than it takes 2 destroy a rainforest. KIM U ROCKER roTHE QUEEN ”

“"Dancing In The Dark" weakens "Catch" unfortunately as "Dream Sequence" is best followed by "Shoot To Disable". This means in practise that "Select" is the best RAK album.

As for Kids, the endless covers are annoying, whereas Kim's Live performance is exciting. Also her sexuality is subtle especially in the last verse.

Cal: I was approving your preference, and I think the subject deservers a thread on Marcel's forum which I will initiate shortly.”

“James: I am not sure that Psycho's actually reading the general comments, he might be simply writing reviews.
Odd though how much we agree on when it comes to you're saying, even though you like a far more glammy Kim than I do. I am not all that crazy about Kids either - I actually didn't like it much at all back then, and now it's probably mostly for nostalgic reasons that I play it now and then. However, it's obviously very well-suited for live performances, so it's hardly odd that she'd play it live even if it wasn't one of her most famous hits. Which it is, like it or not.
Personally, I am skipping P's posts from now on due to the simple fact that I can't stand his overuse of net shorthands. I kind of got sick of those in the 90s...”

Hubba is"so right" wen he says the lesser successes are always much bettr than the crap they receive, or don't get if theyr ignored, but then Kim's the only artist in the history of this earth that's evr been treated like this. She's only1 I know NEVER 2av recorded a duff song I wudn't take wen even so-called gd people down-and Madonna slag&Annie Lennox ALWAYS recording & RELEASN horrible awful songs 2 loads of crap contrivd acclaim like theyr descended from the Virgin Mary or something. Kim's worst songs-wotevr THEY are will always be wickely notable by the supremo fact they miles better than many people's so-called best-even if those v.songs r ok!”

“Psychopath- i am little confused with your "Writing or should i say refferances towards me" can u be more clear Darlin :).
Sorry "Dancing in the dark" i thought was leat interesting song and video w Bad "Haircut" was just pfff. Tx god for Go4it-she cameback looking like a 80's Popicon. As for RAK songs Kids in America ( i was never impressed either) it hought it was a cute new wave record but i have to admite Kids sounds 10x better "Live" the audience and Kim really Rock the house. But my Personal favorites from RAK (were never singles) STrange but true and if i have to pick- "Everything we know/Sing it out for love again/ Falling out/You'll never be so wrong/Take me tonight/Chaos in A/Stay awile/ Can u come over/=more emotional type of songs.
My favorite singles from RAK "Cambodia & View From the B"”

“Unpleasnt editing again-so not such a "Perfect Girl"with the technicians. Still charming Christmassy stage set, she lookd fab, sounded fab bt shuda squeezed more hits in like the "Catch"&"Teases" 1s she didn't even bothr redoing 4 "NeverSayNever-why do I like this woman wen she don't evn like herself? ”

“The perfromance can't be faulted-but choice of song can-S I C K O F I T!!!!!!! If we were talkin all from 'OUR TOWN' 2 "MAYBE I'M CRAZY", maybe I wudn,t b SENT crazy. Gr8 2 c Kim introduce her bro at start-she can thank betr by doin'all e other songs they did 2gthr since'81.SO agree with tjflirrty who'se obviously got"THE TOUCH" don. Me 2 babe, me 2.”
“PS Plse ignore the "flat matchbox" comment, it was a left over insult 2 the Slag frm Hell, but like with her I got bored & couldn't continue.”
“O'cors Kim lost out in the show-she always loses out2 crap which is why u lot keep bringn up Sadonna-allo the sluts only got 1 image-that of a blasphemous, dirty, attenion seeking slag-but this is OLD news-like her-bk2 KIM.Gr8 job-my sis says if ud done it in the 1s place, Kim, it wuda tranformd a boring song 2 a sparkler. Ur UK record company sucks as evr. Here, once again, ur as ever the robbed wwinner. dimensional as a flat matchbox.”

wrote about 80's Medley (Live La Cigale):

“Bad sound but the editing was gd, audience participation is nice, but once again, songs chosen r woefully overused. How about we all do a medley of "Shootn2Disable ur Bladerunner's European Soul in the Suburbs of Moscow& that'd b Action City 2me."”

“"Kim Come Away, it's the rapper with the dodgy crapper walkin by." But it was fine-the rap kinda wrkd & I HATE rap. Didn't c this release comin'&struk dumb she shot a vid 4"GameOver" & didn't release it at all-shuda closd he album with it. Kim's look happy&sunny& so's the song even if it aint the a4mentioned. Cute vid, evn with the dancin' twats. (Tell that girl in white bikini 2 wear something other than that & a goofy gri, the twat.”

“Psycho: I'll keep my comments here, of course, rather than mess up the ratings. Dancing in the Dark "incredible"? I beg to differ, it's one of the absolutely least interesting songs during her RAK period if you ask me. Very uninspired and run-of-the-mill - thankfully, none of the Wildes were actually behind the creation of the song.”
“Oooooohhhh dangerous!!!! Wouldn't wanna approach her if she'd had a few - she'd prob bottle me!!!
After readin some of these comments I feel like bottlin a few people myself!! DO NOT understand wot evry1's prob is with this song. Its always been my fave on album eva since I 1st heard it bk in 95! (I know, but I'm only 26 so giv me a break bout the belatedness of it all!)
This is a gr8 vid 4 it tho. I always imagined a darkened/bluish rm with a strobe lite - but this is gd! (Mind that fire Kim! U don't look like the type of gal who just happens 2 hav a pair of flame-resistant gloves on ya 24/7!)”
“1stly let's deal with the pointless criticism. By Oct 81, Kim had made the last of her 2 'worst' singles-"Boys" follown "Kids In America"(yes I do mean that last 1-wot is all ur admiration 4 that thing-all it did was introduce 2 the gr8tst female singr evr& then she gve us"Chequered Love"&the girl smashed with evry wickd song that followd, release or not, inc.this 1. JR Ewing, once again I "Shoot2Disable" ur opinion, Caro cudn't b any more girly if she tried pickn out the ballads of "Catch"(thou theyr all luvly o'course,& Calanor ur despicable-around in'83 among sum of her best stuff&u STILL bang on about not likn this incredible song. Well I'm sick of the fact evrythin has 2 b about flamin' "kidsnAmerica, U Came(cut), U KeepMe Hangin'& Chequered Love. I wish I was bashed2death with "Dancin'InDark" 4 xample the way I am with these 1s wen she performs & the few times she on soddin UK radio & its only evr flamin"Kids". Now can I please rate this clip. The vid is gr8, Pieere, 1st time I ever saw the vid-fire is gr8 symblism-bet the "rushin wind kept blowin it against her miii-iind." Ya catch that Caro. U shud, evn if it aint "Sing It Out4Luv." She looks gr8-nice innocent counterpoint 2"Luv Blonde" floozn. But where's the follow=up vid "House Of Salome". Find it Pierre&we will play sweet musics 2gthr"in the heat of the desert, or hands'll beat at the door!" ”

“Psycho: No need to be rude. And this is me being picky, but why not use full words rather than "2day", "2 c", "cud", "4 her"? I can - somewhat - understand it during live chats, but hardly when you're writing a post.
As for Elton, yeah I think he's a bit full of it at times, though the man's obviously produced some very long-lasting songs. Funny enough though, the few ones I actually listen to are covers of his original stuff (e.g. Kate Bush's "Rocket Man" and of course Kim's "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word").
Not arguing with your thoughts on the Select and Catch material though :)”

“JR, we need words again. This crap about hr'attitude is all in ur head-its a perona 4 a pop star, ninconpoop! Doh. Many of'em av it-hell they ALL av it 2day&they shudn't bother as they're all crap. Elton John's always been bad in this respect. Anyway, luvly 2 c she resuurectd the song-even if it got 2 much 4her. Now cud she please raid her 82&83 album 4 Dream Sequence, Salome, Janine, Action City& so on!”
“Caro, dalin, Kim says anything perfectly-she's not that idiot Annie Lennox u know. Elton John did something right, but this song, again, is only relevant cos Kim covered it. Does it beautifully&her dear old pap matches her-no mean feat. But they shud so release it asa single while we're awaitn a new album.”

“Marred once again by f****n unecessary editing, this performance is technically perfect from her, but that catches&grates as much as always. By the way JR, there are only 3 tastes people av in music. Great, moderate or shit. & I don't comment on that either-esp. the latter!”

wrote about I Got You Babe (Stars Of Europe):

“Baby Obey Me is where UB40 wud like2 b, but then they never did original, tough sounding attitude driven stunners, like Kim's known 4 did they&why'd he take so long 2meet&sing with her-she wet right thru decades with the fool. Still he never sounded so good&she's so wonderful even without the rehearsals. Bitch Madonna take note-of not only that. ”

wrote about Love Blonde (Razzamatazz):

“Visuay resplendent&fun. 2 many dazzling lights blurs it&song's predictably cut-but it's a gr8 perfomance of a gr8 song-her true anthem surely, not that bloody brats in the States song (courtesy of my sis, bless)& Americans & her record company all need shooting! She's amazing.” more >>
